Odo is a little owl with big ideas. The Forest Camp for Young Birds is a wonderful leafy playground where birds of all shapes and sizes can play games, learn skills, and have fun side-by-side with the most amazingly diverse group of feathered creatures – silly chickens, cheeky toucans, harmonious canaries, a vain peacock, and many others. All of the fun takes place under the loving watchful eye of Camp Leader, a supremely capable and good-natured Eagle. With the help of his best friend Doodle (a thoughtful little bird of unknown species), Odo positively tackles every challenge - no matter how big. He knows he can do anything he sets his mind to, because in the forest, as in life, the most important thing you can do is to believe in yourself.
Created by Sixteen South Originals and co-produced by Sixteen South Studios and Letko.
52 x 7’
While the series is a full-of-laughs comedy series, it also aims to teach preschoolers self-efficacy and to believe in themselves to help combat the troubling rise in anxiety and depression levels in today’s children. Comedic and warm, with genuine gender neutral appeal, the series has a heart of social justice and stories deal with important themes such as immigration, racism, respect for others, and show kids how to deal with setbacks in a meaningful way while fostering the development of social skills.
Odo is a brand new original series for preschoolers created by Sixteen South Originals and co-produced with Sixteen South Studios and Letko.
Premium quality, hand-drawn 2D animation with 3D post lighting and a live, organic score.
Series 1 has already been sold into 128 countries and is already a top-rating show.
Odo is distributed globally by Sixteen South Rights and our global licensing agency is Bulldog Licensing.
The Coop Troop, a gang of five unlikely heroes: hyperactive rabbit Maggie, eccentric inventor Flo the chicken, bon vivant swine Clive, excitable yet insecure lamb Billy and enigmatic egg Jo d’Oeuf. Thirsty for adventure to escape their mundane life on a farm, their mission is to help any animal with a problem – and they’re kept busy by the precious and very pampered pets of nearby town of Animauville.
When their red telephone rings, somebody needs help, so the Troop set off in their ingeniously – if haphazardly – modified chicken Coop to provide it. No matter how simple the problem, The Coop Troop will always come up with a way to solve it, usually in the most roundabout, over-the-top way possible, resulting in an escalating comedy of ridiculous chaos as each mission snowballs out of control. As they frantically try to get things back on track they attract more chaos at every turn. With The Coop Troop, satisfaction is always (eventually) guaranteed!
Created by Sixteen South Originals and co-produced by Sixteen South Studios and Mikros Animation Studios / Technicolor.

SESAME TREE
SInce 2002, Colin had been running a successful commercial production company - and now with a three year old he wanted to use his talents and abilities for good. Imagine when, in May 2007, he happened to stumble upon a Request for Proposals for a new version of Sesame Street for Northern Ireland. With a track record in producing hundreds of commercial projects, but a zero track record in producing television, it was outrageous to think that he could win this gig. And most people in town agreed.
It’s a long story of a long competitive creative pitch, but Sixteen South was born with that first commission, Sesame Tree, a co-production with Sesame Workshop. Sesame Tree is a new version of Sesame Street, aimed at young children with strong curriculum teaching and storytelling. The puppet and live action show was co-created by Colin Williams and Ian McDonald and written and produced in Northern Ireland. It featured a new family of muppets - Potto the monster, Hilda the hare, Archie the red squirrel, Claribelle the red bird, Samson & Goliath the bookworms and the Weatherberries who all lived inside the Sesame Tree - a magical question tree. The 14-minute show included live action mini-documentary films, which look at life through the eyes of a 3-6 year old and classic clips from Sesame Street.
Season 1 was produced for BBC Northern Ireland and after we successfully pitched it to CBeebies, Season 2 was commissioned by them where it enjoyed phenomenal ratings and the Sesame Tree website recorded 2.6 million WPI in a four week period. The series won a series of international awards.
40 x 11’ for CBeebies and BBC Northern Ireland
BIG CITY PARK
In 2010, CBeebies commissioned Big City Park, Sixteen South’s second show, which was created by Colin Williams and co-produced with BBC Scotland. The live action and puppet show aimed to get children outside and rediscover the awe and wonder of nature - whatever the weather. It was shot completely outdoors in Ormeau Park, a large victorian park in Belfast and featured Billy the badger, Dara the fox and their ageless friend, Ruairi who all live there - along with their human friend, May the park keeper who hosted the series. Each episode saw a group of unscripted spontaneous kids come to visit and help May and her furry friends solve the problem of the day. It was a BBC featured show for August 2010 and rated very highly with over 24% of the audience, peaking with an audience share of 341,000 on 20 August with an average of 244,000 across the series. It was the second most watched show in its slot on CBeebies during August 2010.
Big City Park won the Scottish BAFTA for Best Children's Series along with an IFTA and other international awards.

BIG & SMALL
2011 saw a major new production for Sixteen South - Big and Small, the BAFTA winning hit show in co-production with Kindle Entertainment for CBeebies.
Big and Small is a highly successful children’s pre-school show featuring two best friends who share a house together. Sixteen South partnered with London-based Kindle Entertainment to give this hit show a new production home in Belfast and produce a third season which aired on BBC in 2011. The first two seasons were produced in Canada.
Each story revolves around the comedy of Big and Small’s contrasting approaches to life, and encourages young children to appreciate that people have many different ideas and opinions. The series combines the imagination of animation with the warmth of puppets - great stories packed with humour, laugh-out-loud moments and highly memorable songs.
Big and Small received a number of awards including a KidScreen award for Best Writing in a Children's Programme, a BAFTA for Best Interactive Service and the RTS Television Award for Best Children's Programme.
26 x 11’ for CBeebies
PAJANIMALS
2011 also brought another huge production for Sixteen South - Pajanimals, a beautiful bedtime puppet show which we produced with our partners, The Jim Henson Company and the US network, Universal Kids. The show aired daily in the US on Sprout, throughout Europe and Australasia on Disney Junior and Nickelodeon. It also aired on the NBC Saturday morning kids block, reaching an audience in excess of 200 million homes across the US.
The Pajanimals feature four cuddly puppet characters. This inseparable quartet forms a night-time community in the comfort of their magical, shared bedroom - Sweetpea Sue the quiet pony, the excitable duck Squacky, the creative cow CowBella and the optimistic puppy Apollo - designed and built by the world-famous OSCAR and Emmy Award winning Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Pajanimals was designed to help parents and caregivers develop bedtime routines for their preschoolers. Through their imaginary journeys, the Pajanimals model the skills preschoolers need to move through their days and nights successfully. Along the way, the Pajanimals discover how cozy and safe night time can really be when accompanied by friendship and songs.
52 x 11’ episodes, on 10 sets were all filmed and produced in Belfast in a large warehouse which we specially converted to a long-term studio.
Pajanimals received two Emmy nominations - for Outstanding Pre-School Children's Series and for Outstanding Directing in a Children's Series, as well as the Parent's Choice Recommended Seal.
52 x 11’ for Universal Kids and airing on Netflix, Disney Junior and Nick Jr all over the world.
